No. The grief and loss program is not therapy or counseling. You will not be assessed and given a diagnosis. No psychotherapy will occur during the program. You will learn new tools and learn emotional, physical and spiritual coping tips.
The program does not include a medical diagnosis or medical or psychological treatment. Your health insurance plan will not cover the program. It is an investment in your health and well-being.
Yes, I invite you to join the grief and loss program at any time. You may find that new life events or someone close to you getting pregnant is triggering your pain again. You will find peace from participating in the program and healing.
I welcome you to join the program when you are ready. The first step is to complete the Google Form. I will review it to make sure that this program is the right match for you. I will email you and send you the Registration forms. They are all completed online. I will set up a profile for you on Simple Practice (the confidential software I use to complete the scheduling, billing and virtual video sessions).
When you select the 3-week program, you will complete the Registration forms and create a profile on Simple Practice. This confidential software allows you to schedule and reschedule your sessions at your convenience. I currently offer the sessions on Mondays and Wednesdays from 9am CST/10am EST to 3pm CST/4pm EST.
Each 1-on-1 session is 50 minutes long. They will occur once a week, for 3 weeks. This confidential time with Kathryn Gardner is a virtual video session. You will be emailed the private link the morning of your session. Find a quiet, private location to talk and share. Have a notebook for your ideas, feelings and thoughts that come up during the session. You and Kathryn will be discussing your grief and loss. She will share tools, resources, suggestions and compassion for your journey.
Yes, the wonderful thing about the grief program is that it is not limited to certain states. Residents of all US states are available to participate in the grief program. However, Kathryn Gardner only provides counseling services in Illinois and Florida.
No, this program is to help you and you will tell me what you are comfortable with. I am Christian and Catholic and have leaned on my faith during difficult times. I have found peace in praying and the Bible. I will ask you your comfort level and what works for you.
Please talk to me and I will discuss the financial options with you directly.
