If you’re feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or stretched thin in this season of life, you’re not alone—and you don’t have to carry it all by yourself.
For over 25 years, I’ve had the privilege of walking alongside women as a licensed therapist, helping them navigate anxiety, stress, burnout, and grief. My work is especially close to my heart when supporting women through pregnancy, postpartum and the transitions of motherhood. These seasons can be beautiful—but they can also feel heavy, confusing, and exhausting.
My approach is both practical and deeply compassionate. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness and Positive Psychology to give you real tools you can use in your everyday life. At the same time, I believe true healing happens when we care for the whole person—mind, body, and spirit. For those who desire it, I gently incorporate faith into the counseling process, as my own Christian faith has been a steady source of strength and peace in my life.
I hold a counseling license in Illinois
(LCPC), where I have practiced since 2001 and then, when we moved to Florida in 2022, I added a license in Florida
(LMHC). I am happy to serve women in both states today!
Throughout my career, I’ve been honored to serve in leadership and advocacy roles in the field of perinatal mental health. In 2001, I became a licensed therapist and practiced in a mental health hospital in Naperville, IL. I moved up in leadership and joined some of the psychiatrists in private practice. By 2014, I co-founded a women's counseling practice inside a OBGYN practice. I was one of the first clinicians to receive the Perinatal Mental Health Certification (PMH-C), in 2018, through Postpartum Support International. I served as the Chair of the Board for the Illinois Chapter of Postpartum Support International from 2017-2020. I’ve also supported families through perinatal loss as a Group Leader and Co-founder of a hospital-based support group at Little Company of Mary Hospital, the Cherished Angel Perinatal Loss support group. In order to understand and support a woman's full well-being, I completed the training at the Dr. Sears Wellness Institute to become a Certified Health Coach (CHC). I continue to mentor future clinicians as a Qualified Supervisor (QS-MHC) and an Adjunct Professor of Psychology at Saint Leo University.
But beyond my professional roles, I’m a mom, too. I’ve personally experienced Postpartum Panic and Anxiety, and I understand just how intense and isolating that season can feel. That experience shapes how I show up for my clients—with deep empathy, without judgment and with a steady belief that things can get better.
I live in the Tampa area with my husband (a retired Chicago Police Officer), two children and adopted German Shepherd, Sheba. When I’m not working, you can usually find me baking, reading, enjoying mint chocolate chip ice cream, or soaking in the peace of the beach—my favorite place to reset and breathe!
